What an incredible night. Thanks to Debbie & Russ, Jamie and Travis for hosting another wonderful end-of-season picnic and hayride for the team and their families.

The paw-print tye-dye shirts are AWESOME! Thank you!

We appreciate you all so much! Debbie, Travis, Andrew, & Stephanie ~ Thank you for your dedication to the team, your compassion, and your generosity.

We are truly blessed to have such caring people coaching our girls.

If there is one thing we’ve learned, it’s this:

There really is no “I” in team, but there sure is a lot of LOVE in there!

11:15 ~ Pink Panthers (U14) _2_ vs. MO Valley Rapids (U15) _5_ on Field 14

Katie and Taylor both scored in the second half with long shots over the defense and past the goalie after being down 4-0 at the half. Great showing against a bigger, older team!

2:05 ~ Pink Panthers (U14) _0_ vs. KCFC Freeze (u14) _0_ on Field 2

Taylor was injured in the game due to rough play. The Pink Panthers end the day with 6 points (one for each goal scored in the first game and four for a tie/shutout in the second.

Sunday 11/8

8:25 ~ Pink Panthers (U14) _3_ vs. Blitz United 96 Navy (U14) _4_ on Field 2

The Pink Panthers put three points on the board in the first half. Kylie scored first followed by two scores from Kallie. A handball call gave United 96 a shot that hit the goal and tied the game at 3-3. Another goal by United 96 Navy put them ahead by one when the whistle blew giving the Pink Panthers a 0-2-1 record for the tournament.

Neosho Scrimmage

On Sunday, the Pink Panthers played a scrimmage against Neosho at Carl Junction High School. The 5-0 ovictory on Bulldog turf was a great motivator for the Autumn Bash Tournament coming up this weekend in Kansas City.

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! ~Missouri Mule Soccer Tournament

This weekend we played the Missouri Mule tournament hosted by the Summitt Soccer Club in Blue Springs, MO (outside of KC). The Panthers played incredible soccer resulting in three consecutive shut-out matches in the Black Molly Division.

Match 1: Pink Panthers (3) v. Maryville Twisters (0)

Match 2: Pink Panthers (7) v. KC Rush Swoosh (0)

Match 3: Pink Panthers (5) v. Fireballs (0)

Results are posted HERE and the Pink Panthers WON their division with 21 points to take the title of CHAMPION. Runner up was Maryville Twisters with 15 points. The finals were cancelled due to the whopper storm that blew into KC yesterday afternoon. Officials stated that medals would be shipped. A picture of the girls with their awards will be made available when we receive them.

We also had a great night at the KC Wizards game against DC United which ended in a 2-2 tie. Lots of action and lots of yellow cards (even one red)!

Our next, and last, season tournament is the Autumn Bash, hosted by the Raytown Soccer Club, November 7-8 (http://www.raytownsoccerclub.org/AutumnBashMain.htm).

Ozark High Scrimmages

The Pink Panthers played two scrimmage matches at Ozark High School, near Springfield, this weekend. They lost the first game to Academy, 1-0. and won the second against The Xtreme, 6-0! Their big victory was followed up by a lunch at Lambert’s.

NWA CLOROX CUP ‘O9

Winner of the Clorox Cup was Springfield Soccer Club with a 4-3 victory over NWAL Strikers Black.

The Panthers suffered a disappointing first round loss to Springfield SC 1-0 in the last few minutes of the game and finished up Clorox Cup play in a hard fought, 0 – 0 tie against the NWA Strkers Blue.
